Servicing & Maintenance

Routine Service (AS 1851) that converts to peace of mind

Stay compliant. Stay protected.

Across Australia, AS 1851 is the standard regulators enforce. We cut through the complexity, ensuring your sites meet every requirement so you can focus on running your business with complete confidence.

Workplace Health and Safety legislation, as well as other legislation, dictates how an organisation should carry out regular servicing of fire equipment; the frequency of servicing can vary depending on the organisation and its equipment. Most equipment is required to be serviced every 6 months, (however, some is monthly).

Critical Fire Protection & Training can inform you at each interval or automatically service the equipment to take this stress away and ensure you are compliant with all legislation and Australian Standards.

Active Fire Protection

Servicing and Maintenance to AS 1851

Fire Detection & Alarm Systems

Fire Detection and Alarm Systems actively seek fire, alert the occupants and can advise the fire brigade. To perform as designed and false alarms, they require Routine Service, Inspection and Testing to AS 1851.

Emergency Warning Systems (EWS) and Occupant Warning Systems

EWIS advises occupants when a fire or other emergency is occurring in the building. It delivers clear tones and voice messages and lets wardens and building control communicate during an emergency.

Fire Pumps, Sprinklers & Fire Water Tanks

Automatic Fire Sprinklers suppress or control a fire. Fire Pumps provide the flow and pressure required for Sprinklers and Hydrants to operate effectively. Fire water tanks ensure there is enough water supply when you need it most.

Aspirating Smoke Detection

Aspirating smoke detection gives very early warning of smoke, much earlier than a standard smoke detector. A network of small sampling pipes continually draws air back to a central analyser where laser-based sensing can identify minute smoke particles long before conventional detectors respond.

Smoke and Heat Alarms Installation & Certification

Keep your people safe and your site compliant with supply, installation, testing and certification of smoke alarms to AS 3786 and NCC (BCA) requirements.

Portable Fire Equipment

Servicing and Maintenance to AS 1851

When a fire starts, seconds matter. Your first-attack equipment is the gear you can grab and use immediately. Critical Fire keeps that equipment ready to perform by selecting and positioning it to AS 2444 and maintaining it on schedule to AS 1851.

Fire Extinguishers

Stop small fires before they grow - fires double in size every 30 seconds. We supply, install, test and maintain portable and mobile fire extinguishers so your site stays safe and compliant to AS 2444.

Fire Hydrants and Hose Reels

Keep water where and when you need it. We inspect, test, service and repair hose reels and hydrant systems to AS 1851, with clear records and minimal disruption.

Fire Blankets

Fire blankets are a simple, fast way to smother small Class F fires and clothing fires. We select, locate, install and maintain fire blankets so they are easy to reach and ready to deploy.

Electrical Safety Compliance

Servicing and Maintenance to AS 370, AS 2293.2 and AS 1851

Residual Current Device (RCD) Testing, (AZ/NZS 3760 electrical equipment)

Reduce shock risk and stay compliant with professional inspection, testing and tagging of residual current devices (RCDs) and portable electrical equipment to AS/NZS 3760.

Emergency & Exit Lighting (AS 2293.2 routine testing)

Emergency and exit lighting guides people to safety during emergencies, whether you have power or not. We keep your system ready to perform with routine service to AS 2293.2, clear records and fast rectification.

Portable Appliance Testing (Test and Tag) (AS/NZS 3760 electrical equipment)

Reduce shock and fire risk, meet WHS duties and keep clean records with Portable Appliance Testing (Test and Tag) to AS/NZS3760.AS/NZS 3760.

Thermographic Switchboard Scanning (AS ISO 18434.1:2014)

Find faults before they fail. Our non-intrusive infrared scans identify overheating connections and hotspots in live electrical and mechanical equipment so you can fix issues early, reduce fire risk, meet insurance obligations and prevent downtime.

Smoke and Heat Alarms Installation & Certification

Keep your people safe and your site compliant with supply, installation, testing and certification of smoke alarms to AS 3786 and NCC (BCA) requirements.
