Fire Warden Training

Training Inclusions

  • Legislative requirements and AS 3745 compliance

  • Establishment and structure of the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO)

  • Individual roles and responsibilities of ECO members

  • Understanding different emergency types and impacts

  • Raising alarms internally and advising emergency services

  • Use and overview of installed fire equipment

  • Managing human behaviour and mobility-impaired occupants (PEEPs)

  • Use of assembly areas and alternative options

  • Duration: 1.5 – 2 hours

  • Up to 30 participants per session

Chief Warden Training

The Chief Warden leads and coordinates the emergency response until emergency services take control. This training equips senior ECO members with the skills to manage wardens, communicate clearly and make sound decisions under pressure.

Training includes:

  • Establishment of an Emergency Control Point

  • Assessment and categorisation of emergency types

  • Command and control of ECO members and procedures

  • Determining emergencies and advising emergency services

  • Use of fire alarm and emergency warning systems (EWIS)

  • Accurate record keeping, including emergency logs

  • Liaison with emergency services and coordination of recovery efforts

Delivery:

  • Conducted on site, customised to your organisation

  • Duration: 1.5 – 2 hours

  • Up to 10 participants per session

  • Includes course handouts and attendance records
