Fire Safety Compliance: Maintenance, Installations, Evacuation Diagrams





Location: Northern Suburbs of Perth WA
Project
Ongoing Maintenance to AS 1851, AS 2293.2, AS 3760, AS 5062 to meet WHS and insurance obligations. Installations of Fire Safety Equipment as required following maintenance inspections. Development of Evacuation Diagrams.
Background
Critical Fire was selected following a public quotation request to provide Fire Safety and Electrical Safety Inspections to a waste management facility. In modern times Waste Management Facilities have faced an increasing threat of fires, driven by the incorrect disposal of lithium-ion batteries. Critical Fire was selected to provide specialist advice, maintenance and Installations.
Maintenance
On an ongoing basis Critical Fire is continuing to provide:
- Maintenance / Repairs / Installation of Portable Fire Equipment such as Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hose Reels, Fire Blankets and Fire Hydrants to AS 1851.
- Maintenance / Repairs / Installation of Exit and Emergency Lighting to AS 2293.2
- Portable Appliance Testing and Residual Current Device Testing / Repairs to AS 3760.
- Maintenance / Repairs / Installation of Fire Detection and Occupant Warning Systems to AS 1851 and AS 1670.
- Maintenance and Repairs of Foam Fire Suppression Systems fitted to large pieces of mobile plant, critical to site operations, during scheduled planned maintenance. Works are completed in the field to AS 5062.
- Thermographic Scanning of all Electrical Main and Sub-Switchboards
Outcomes
- Full compliance with AS 1851, AS 2293.2, AS 3760 and AS 5062.
- Compliance with WHS Obligations and Insurer expectations.
- Evacuation diagrams fully compliant with AS 3745.
- All works completed on time and on budget, including 24/7 callout response for unexpected faults.
