Evacuation Exercise

Our Evacuation Exercises (or simply Fire Drills) are coordinated by a series of simulated emergencies that are designed to test your building’s Warden Team, and the smooth running of your emergency procedures. The completion of this type of training is a legislative requirement that is compliant with AS 3745, and is generally completed once a year. However, due to specific regulations or company policies you may be required to undertake them more frequently. If you are unsure, please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with more information.

This exercise contains the following procedures:

  • A briefing of the Warden Team on site just prior to the exercise,
  • Assisting the Chief and Deputy Chiefs to instigate the simulated emergency,
  • Recording of all key information, taking observations, and coaching the Chief Warden if needed,
  • Assisting all occupants to re-enter the building,
  • A de-briefing with the wardens to highlight any issues they might have found,
  • Completion of a comprehensive report including key information and recommendations arising out of the exercise.

Depending on the size of your building or site, this type of training should generally take between 1-1.5 hours; however, we do aim to minimise the time people are kept outside as much as possible.
